Survivor Series (2009)

The Survivor Series is an annual professional wrestling event held in every year of November by World Wrestling Entertainment. It is one of the major events as compare with the Wrestle Mania, Royal Rumble and Summer Slam. The Survivor series is one of the original four annual WWE pay-per-views. Its importance can be judged due to the second longest running pay-per-view event in WWE, behind WrestleMania.
The first Survivor Series, held in 1987. The 23rd annual Survivor Series took place on Sunday 22, 2009, live from Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The WWE $ World Heavyweight Titles were defended in triple Threat Matches, while three Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches took place. This event is usually characterized by having five on five (or sometimes four on four) tag-teams elimination matches. These matches are generally referred to simply as “Survivor Series matches.”
The 2009 Survivor Series results are: 5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match, in which Team Miz has defeated Team Morrison. Batista def. Rey Mysterio after the Mysterio was not able in any condition to fight. Another, 5-on-5 Traditional Elimination Match, in which Team Kingston def. Team Orton with Kofe being the Solo survivor. The World Heavyweight Championship: in which the Triple Threat match taken place between John Cena, Triple.H and Shaun Michael, John retain the title of Heavyweight Champion. Thus, 2009 Survivor Series is full of entertainment and action-packed event for the viewers all around the world.
