Haiti becomes a picture of destruction after the earthquake of 12 January 2010. After that earth quake it is difficult to find any building which remains safe from the quake. The quake was of magnitude 7 and it destroys almost whole Haiti. Port-Au-Prince is the capital of Haiti and now it is an example of disaster.
Almost 3 million people affected and 1.5 million people became homeless. The death tolls reached the figure of 150,000. It is estimated that one-third of the victims were children.
Tents become the most wanted item in Haiti. At the moment people has no shelter to sleep so they need tents.
Many organizations are there to help the people of Haiti but more help is needed. According to news $1554.42 in donations for Haitian are collected by 8 year old Rhode Island girl, Alyssa Conlan of Coventry. Many schools of America are also collecting donations for Haitian. Red Cross is also playing a major role in the relief efforts. You can only find destruction and helpless people in the Haiti.
The latest pictures of Haiti are full of destruction. The aftershocks are also terrifying the people if Haiti and they are so afraid that they could not sleep easily at night.
Many countries have sent their medical staff to Haiti. But Haiti need more as many people are looking for medical help and more medical staff is needed in Haiti.
