Boy Scouts 100th Anniversary
Today is the celebration day for Boy Scouts of America organization. The organization is celebrating its 100 years of success. By its name it shows that the organization consists of only boys but in reality the girls are also a part of this organization. The organization was formed on 8 February, 1910.
The organization was formed to help the citizens. The BSA obtained a congressional charter in 1916. The organization published temporary hand books and also had national office in Washington, D.C.
There are different groups in the organization. The main three groups of the Boy Scout organization are;
1: Cub Scouts.
2: Webelos for first- through-fifth graders.
3: Boy Scouts for sixth- through 12th-graders.
The Boy Scouts of America states on its website "The Boy Scouts of America hope to double the membership of Latino youths in the short term and effect a new awareness, inclusion, and cooperation at the national, regional, and council levels in the longer term,"
The organization is developing with the passage of time. Now they are focusing on the new technologies. They are also expanding the knowledge of scouts in science and computer. The website also states that organization is trying to develop self confidence in the scouts. They are preparing them to face any kind of difficult situation as they want to develop their youth. The main focus is to train scout with high moral values, leadership skills, ethics and citizenship so that scouts will be able to inspire different people. On the celebration of its 100 years BSA is committed to hire more scouts and enlarge their family.
