Farouk Shami is a Palestinian-American businessman from Ramallah, West Bank, who has guaranteed that after becoming the Mayor of Texas he would create thousands jobs available to everyone. He will take the responsibility for providing free electricity and suspension for the unemployed members.
Farouk Shami runs a large-hair care and health resort products company. He has worked for decades in the field of hair-care products development and taking cosmetology school classes in Arkansas. His company, the Houston-based Farouk Systems, is known to be the firt company for the invention of first ammonia-free hair-color product. His company currently employs 2,000 Americans.
During his campaigning he addressed with the people of Taxes,

“Creating jobs is my specialty, when I am governor, everybody is going to go to work,”

said Shami. He further promises to pay the state $10 billion of the same amount he is budgeted for his election effort. So,Shami made comprehensive promises in order to win this year mayor election of Texas. His rival partner former Mayor of Houston bill White on the other hand disagreed and inconvincible on Shami’s proposal for free electricity. White in response to Shami’s proposals said,

“Some of the politicians need to accept responsibility for advertising your (electric) bill would go down when it did not.”

On July 27, 2009 Farouk Shami Company announced they will be opening a new plant in Houston that will employ approximately 5,000 people. They further plan of marketing the products as made in the USA. Shami is also the member of the board of the American Task Force on Palestine. Thus, both Democrats using the key word jobs as an important element in their election campaigning.
