Eurocom unveils new mobile workstation Sky X9W, an upgrade to its last October release Sky X9


The Canadian computer developer, Eurocom Corporation has unveiled its new ‘mobile workstation’, Sky X9W laptop, an upgrading to its successful Sky X9 laptop which was released in the last October. The new release which weighs about 4.8kg and has measurements of 428x308x45mm, will cost dear for its customers with a price of about $2,930.


Eurocom calls Sky X9W a mobile workstation just as its predecessor Sky X9, for its high-end specifications which normally would come with a desktop.

The Sky X9W is equipped with

  • A socketed LGA1151 CPU, up to Intel i7-6700K, fully unlocked processor. With the choice of having either Intel Core ‘Skylake-S’ i5-6600L or Core ‘Skylake-S’ i7-6700 processor.
  • Intel Z170 Express, Skylake chipset.
  • Coming to the VGA technology, Sky X9W is configured with Quadro M5000M, Quadro M3000M, or can opt for single 200W GTX 980 of desktop class.
  • And, to deal with the heat that generates with such high power specs, the Sky X9W is installed with multiple fans on its board.


  • The memory of the Sky X9W comes with up to 64GB of DDR4-2133, 2400 or 2666MHz and 4 SODIMM sockets.
  • The storage capacity of the Sky X9W goes up to 5TB of SSD storage with a RAID 10 configuration.
  • The display of the Sky X9W supports 4 external monitors via 2x DP 1.2, 1x HDMI 2.0 and 1x HDMI 2.0 or DP1.2 (via USB 3.1 type C port) and Nvidia Surround View.
  • The Sky X9W comes with an illuminated keyboard, backlit with customizable 7 colors. The laptop also has TPM 2.0 security system with fingerprint and Kensington lock.

The up top configuration selection in Sky X9W will cost you nearly $11,473, which also brings you a carrying case along with a 3-year warranty for the product.

Finally, the Sky X9W works on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and/or Windows 7 operating systems.
