OnePlus 6T launch on T-Mobile network in the US in October

OnePlus 6T, the upgraded version of the OnePlus 6 is the latest mobiles said to launch in the United States in October. T-Mobile will be the OnePlus 6T’s exclusive career partner. This requires an enhanced version of the OnePlus 6T, optimized for the T-Mobile’s network including the 600MHz band spectrum which assures the better and fast coverage. Neville Ray, T-Mobile Chief Technology Officer boasted about the quality improvement of the network thanks to the larger swath of spectrum approval for future 5G advances.

Though the OnePlus  Mobile Technologies company bags immense reputation and success among Android users, but it hasn’t been a household brand yet, due to the lack of career backing. Now, T-Mobile backing, OnePlus has an advantage of attracting numerous users is the latest tech Information.

Who’s T-Mobile Technologies?

Ø  Third largest Cellular company in the United States with 75.6 million customers.

Ø  Provides wireless voice and data services in the US, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Ø  It owns licenses of 1900 MHz (PCS) and 1700 MHz (AWS) bands in cellular communications with coverage in many U.S. continental parts.

In January, the CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, said in an interview, “We’re going to start talking with the US carriers. If the right opportunity and the right time to come along, we will be happy to experiment”. The odds were always high that global unlocked phones of OnePlus are adaptable to either AT&T or T-Mobile carriers.

A hurdle to cross:

OnePlus 6T will be the first smartphone to be sold by a US-based network operator from a Chinese manufacturer. The only hurdle that OnePlus has to cross for the launch is the certification from testing on the network. OnePlus is still under the process known as “technical approval” at the carrier. Failure of the approval may lead to the slight delay in the launch.

Because of the need for different standards with network certification, OnePlus phones now don’t work on Verizon and Sprint. The high standard testing of Verizon already made OnePlus on its network as an unimaginable phenomenon.

  • Operating System: Android 9.0 Pie

  • 512 GB Inbuilt storage variant (ROM).

OnePlus is the latest mobiles which took a different route to break into the US market, selling its products directly to customers online, conducting “flash sales” where the products sell out instantly. Other companies like Huawei and ZTE mirrored the procedure but failed to succeed and suffered a lot and ZTE faced near death sentence by US government.

With the mix of high-end specifications and security systems at lower price points, OnePlus have attracted many hearts. But, with the backing of a carrier partner, the company can reap the wider user base in the United States. Avi Greengart, Global Data Analyst, told: “Prerequisite for the volume sales in the US is getting a carrier shelf space”.

In the current technical smartphone savvy crowd, OnePlus embodies as an alternative for the $1000 super premium smartphones like Samsung (Galaxy Note 9), Apple (iPhone X).
