Instagram has unveiled another TikTok-inspired feature. Reels Remix, a common video tool, has now been introduced to the Facebook-owned messaging app. Duet, a common TikTok feature, is similar in design to this feature. Users will be able to post a video similar to another user’s video in this manner. TikTok pioneered the application, which is extremely common among creators who post dance and music videos.
Instagram revealed the latest feature on Twitter, writing, “Now you can use the Remix feature in Reels to create your own reel next to one that already exists.” Remix is another way to collaborate on Instagram, whether you’re recording your reaction, listening to peers, or adding your own magic to trends.”
Users will be able to connect another video to an existing video using the Reels Remix. If your favourite actor or producer, for example, has shared a dance video on Instagram, you could do your own version and upload it alongside the original. After you’ve completed the Reels Remix, you can upload your video using the same tool.
To make a remix, tap the three-dot menu on a reel and pick “Remix this Reel.” After that, you can either shoot a new video or post a previously shot video alongside the current one. You can edit the footage, change the background music, delete the background sound from all videos, and even add a voiceover. You should change the configuration if you don’t want users to remix your reels. To prevent users from remixing your reels, go to your wider profile settings. It’s worth noting that reels published after the latest feature’s announcement would include the Remix feature. You can, however, remix a saved reel and upload it to your account if you already have one.
