Timex India today announced the introduction of Helix, the company’s first made-in-India smartwatch, on Amazon.in. The Timex India manufacturing plant near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, produced this latest wristwatch, Helix 2.0. According to Timex, “the factory is equipped with the latest equipment, technology, and trained people to manufacture smart watches in India.”
Last year, this Timex India plant in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, India, got the SA 8000 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications. Timex India’s collaboration with Singapore-based IoT startup KaHa Pte Ltd allowed this launch.
“During the wristwatch assembly, KaHa offered the essential SKD Kits, assembly process, and key technological platform support & process knowledge to Timex India,” the firm stated.
Timex Helix 2.0 Smartwatch Specifications
A 1.55-inch colour touchscreen display is included on the Timex Helix 2.0. Treadmill, basketball, yoga, football, badminton, and skipping are just a few of the sports modes available. The watch keeps track of your body temperature and heart rate in real time.
On a single charge, the watch can last up to 9 days and 15 days on standby. According to the manufacturer, the watch takes 3 hours to charge. The wearable is waterproof to IP68 standards and comes with 24 watch faces to pick from. The watch faces may be downloaded via the Timex iConnect app. They can also use Google Fit and Apple Health to sync their data.
App and email alerts are also supported by the watch. In India, buyers of the Timex Helix 2.0 will receive a one-month complimentary subscription to DocOnline. Through the built-in telemedicine function, this service gives one-touch access to online consultation through phone and chat.
The Timex Helix Smart 2.0 costs Rs 3,999. Black, Black Mesh, Green, Rose Gold Mesh, and White are the five strap colours offered. During Amazon’s Prime Day Sale 2021, the watch was released.
