Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced a new incentive for users in the low-income segment. For a short time, it is providing free voice and data services. According to the telecom company, the free offer is worth Rs. 75 and is targeted at assisting low-income group members in staying connected as India’s progressive state-by-state unlocking operations begin. Several prepaid users were unable to recharge throughout the shutdown time, according to Vi, and this advantage provides them with some relief.
Subscribers will receive 50 minutes of free Vi to Vi calling and 50MB of total data as part of the new bonus. This benefit has a 15-day validity period attached to it. This deal is only accessible to prepaid subscribers who were unable to recharge their phones during the shutdown. Subscribers may verify their eligibility by dialling USSD Code 44475# or calling toll-free IVR 121153, which Vi refers to as the Unlock 2.0 perk.
Vi will determine whether the user is eligible and send an SMS outlining all of the actions required to obtain the Rs. 75 in incentives. Vi subscribers may also go to their local store, who will help them with the eligibility check and offer activation. After activating this advantage, users will be able to recharge with their favourite value recharge packs before the 15-day validity period expires.
Vi last month made the Rs. 49 recharge pack accessible for free as a one-time offer to aid low-income consumers. This plan came with Rs. 38 in talk time, 300MB of data, and a 28-day validity period. Local and long-distance calls are charged at a rate of Rs. 0.25 per second. If a subscriber recharges using their app or website, they will receive an additional 200MB as a bonus.
In addition, the telecom provider unveiled a new Combo Voucher RC79 that provided twice the talk time. A typical Rs. 79 combination recharge offers 64 minutes of call time, 200MB of data, and a 28-day validity period. The combination voucher included Rs. 128 in talk time, with all other features remaining the same.
